Thought I’d treat you all to a rainbow on the west side of the house this morning, as the east continues to be pretty drab and dreary. Sometimes we’ve got to hunt out that pot of gold. It’s not always just staring us in the face. TGIF friends!

“Even on the darkest of day, don’t lose hope.  You never know what tomorrow brings.”

Needing some prayers again for our cat, Gabby. She started acting strangely on Tuesday, hissing and not wanting to be touched. By the end of the night, she peed all over Spencer’s office chair and pooped on the floor. Spencer left her laying on the living room rug when he went to bed. I guess God needed another brilliant angel … read more

“My idea of absolute happiness is to be in bed on a rainy day, with my blankie, my cat, and my dog.”
~ Anne Lamott

How did we live without Google ??

Spencer’s college roommate arrived yesterday for a week at the villa, to celebrate his 50th birthday.

And since the moment he arrived its been “Raining cats & dogs”.

Where in the world did that phrase come from … ?

It seems more accurate than the weather forecast which talked about surface cutoff lows, whatever that means … read more
