“Appreciation can make a day, even change a life. Your willingness to put it into words is all that is necessary.”
~ Margaret Cousins

This morning, my mind wanted to tell you that the sunrise was a bit drab, ho-hum, slow. ‘Oh Lord’ thought my mindfulness … Is this the way the day is going to be?!? Gratefully, almost as I recognized my thinking, the divine seemed to reply: “Here little one, I’ll give you something to be thankful for!” And indeed, the sunrise was beautiful, as it is every day. For I am here, alive by the glory of my creator, to experience it. read more

“I have always been delighted at the prospect of a new day, a fresh try, one more start, with perhaps a bit of magic waiting somewhere behind the morning.”
~ J. B. Priestly

I loved watching the sunrise this morning. Watching the brilliant beam of light that lit up the clouds right above me, change from a brilliant pink to a soft, glowing yellow. And all the while, very fresh tradewinds were blowing in my face, catching my hair, welcoming the start of a new day.

"Life is not a problem to be solved, nor a question to be answered. Life is a mystery to be experienced." ~ Alan Watts

A person, walking down a road to who knows where. Coming out of a tunnel, from who knows where. With a light, to see him through.

I support you;
you support me.
I am in this world to offer you peace;
you are in this world to bring me joy.

~ Thich Nhat Hanh

It’s probably no surprise that I awoke this morning, thinking of dependent origination.  As I sat awaiting the quiet sunrise, and studied the rocks below, they became dependent upon the sea, dependent upon the skies, dependent upon the trees. Spencer joined me for a bit. He sounds like he is catching a cold. Will I catch a cold? There is not one thing I can think of that doesn’t intertwine. read more

“Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. To keep our faces toward change and behave like free spirits in the presence of fate is strength undefeatable.”
~ Helen Keller

The morning skies held alot of energy in them. I almost felt like Zeus -with his big thunderbolt – might appear out of the clouds at any second! Zeus, the strong and fearless …. Known by the Greeks as the god of justice and mercy, the protector of the weak, and the punisher of the wicked. His bird the eagle, his tree the oak. read more
