“The first days of spring … The season of renewal when the earth sheds its winter cloak, flowers bloom, and the heart feels as though everything is once again imaginable.”
~ Galen Watson

How quickly the sun rose yesterday, and how slowly it rose just a day later, behind many layers of thin clouds. I was grateful for the extra time in stillness. The moon, a tiny sliver in the sky, eventually disappeared from sight. A nearly invisible cloud brought the lightest of sprinkles. A morning dove cooed somewhere in the background. Two birds had a tiff off in the distance. The cats played down in the grass below.

As I gave thanks to my creator for this precious life, I really felt the beginnings of spring, a time of renewal.

I worked with a client yesterday, fine tuning the picture, sketching out unspoken words, creating a structure to her imagination. It’s becoming increasingly clear. Beautiful really.

Spencer too said it feels like we are starting with a clean slate. We are without guests for a bit, leaving the calendar open to our heart’s desires.

I also have reached a certain plateau with my own projects, and am ready to surge forward again with renewed vigor.

As I browsed through some quotes on spring and renewal, Steve Jobs is quoted as saying:

“The heaviness of being successful was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner again, less sure about everything. It freed me to enter one of the most creative periods of my life.”

This is where I am. It’s a little scary sometimes, redefining success that doesn’t stem from monetary gain. Creating, simply for the joy of creating, sharing expressions of the deepest part of my soul, the real me, not knowing where it will lead, if anywhere.

But today is Sunday. I’m going to simply relish in this amazing sense of renewal … The feeling in my heart that anything imaginable is within my reach. I think a little spring cleaning is in order. There’s nothing like a tidy, fresh smelling home to lay the foundations for a productive week.

Step out, enjoy the bounty and renewal of Spring. Whatever you imagine, it’s possible. Begin again. The universe is infinite ♥
