“I am in charge of how I feel.   And today, I am choosing happiness!”
~Unknown

It’s a beautiful spring morning here in the VI.   The sky was filled with a soft pink radiating energy, and high up in the sky, sat the tiniest sliver of a new moon.   Each time I glanced up at that little moon, I found myself feeling very peaceful and filling up with hope …

The actual new moon this month is on Saturday, April 18th, but we are already beginning to feel her cleansing effects.   One astrologer noted:   “In traditional astrology it is believed that the effect of each Eclipse last 13 days before and 13 days after the actual event.   This new Moon happens to occur right after the major turbulences of the series of Eclipses (April 4th).  This New Moon cleanses the tension that the previous eclipses created.  In fact, normality comes back and Spring will be once again as we know it!  (Thank God!!)”

On Saturday afternoon, a new cycle begins. The Pisces New Moon cycle ends and the Aries New Moon cycle begins.  This new moon is falling under the zodiac sign of Aries, the Ram.   Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, and thus a New Moon in Aries is especially ripe with opportunity for new beginnings.

According to CafeAstrology.com:

It’s time to take action – try something new and innovative, and go at it with gusto and confidence; be assertive without being abrasive; take charge of our lives; start a brand new project; and discover our own personal courage.

This is a strong cycle under which to re-evaluate our relationship to ourselves. With this potent Aries energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives. It’s time to make some solid yet realistic plans, and to set the stage for reaping the rewards from our new beginnings, as little or big as they may be.

It’s also a good cycle under which to discover the benefits of expressing ourselves with authenticity – expressing ourselves as we are, without putting on airs. We might also find ways to learn how to rely on ourselves and to be happy about doing so – it will go a long way towards finding inner happiness when we know that we can be self-sufficient without blaming others for not helping us out. It’s a time to revitalize ourselves through experiences that break the routine and that involve doing something new and fresh.

This month has been exceptionally turbulent for me.   Yet, at the same time, it has shown me just how strong I am.

Eleanor Roosevelt is quoted as saying:  “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent”.     A certain level of self-sufficiency has gotten me to where I am, which I learned from my father.  It’s a Prehn family trait!   And I offer gratitude to him for that, because when the going gets rough, I have faith in my own abilities.    And no one can take that away from me.

The intuit Abraham Hicks posted yesterday:  “Your happiness is the most significant contribution that you could make.   In your reaching for happiness, you are opening a vortex which makes you an avenue for the Well-being to flow through you.  And anything that is your object of attention under those conditions, benefits by the infusion of your Well-being.”

Don’t put the key to your happiness in someone else’s pocket.   Reach for happiness!   Dig deeply into your core of self-reliance this week, my friends.   It will serve you well under this new moon of new beginnings with our authentic selves.  And it will allow each of us to reverberate a most glowing pink happiness out into the universe …

To our happiness & Well-being ….
