“Patience is power.   Patience is not an absence of action;  rather it is “timing”.  It waits on the right time to act, for the right principles and in the right way.”
Fulton J. Sheen

Oh well, I missed another sunrise!  But I do have something I wish to share.  I was up much too late last night, solving the world’s problems … Until the last ounce of juice drained out of my cell phone, and left me without my alarm this morning.   I guess it will happen from time to time.

I was trying to help a friend deal with a touchy situation.   My advice was to give her problem another day, until she could approach it as a good friend and yogi should.   With honesty, sincerity, compassion and grace.    Patience and timing are everything.   I keep coming back to a quote I posted the other day on Trust:   Hard to gain.   Easily broken.

As my parting words, I offered her this beautiful passage my spiritual friend Krishna posted yesterday.   It couldn’t be more timely in my life and hers ….

—–

Let things happen as they happen – they will sort themselves out nicely in the end.

You need not strain towards the future – the future will come to you on its own.

For some time longer you will remain sleep-walking, as you do now, bereft of meaning and assurance; but this period will end and you will find your work both fruitful and easy.

There are always moments when one feels empty and estranged.

Such moments are most desirable for it means the soul had cast its moorings and is sailing for distant places.

This is detachment – when the old is over and the new has not yet come.

If you are afraid, the state may be distressing; but there is really nothing to be afraid of.

Remember the instruction:  Whatever you come across – go beyond.
