“Every moment of light and dark is a miracle.”
~  Walt Whitman

Good morning friends.   And what a gloomy day we have on tap!  But the rain is much needed and it allowed me a chance to sleep in for a change.   And honestly, I didn’t feel like making a post either.   My mood seems reflective of the dark dreariness, and it felt almost dishonest to find some happy, feel good piece to share …

But, as I started up my computer, into my inbox from a new friend came a beautiful, timely and appropriate poem by Rumi.    Be grateful for whomever comes of you today 🙂

———

This being human is a guest house.

Every morning a new arrival.

A joy, a depression, a meanness,

some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor.

Welcome and entertain them all!

Even if they’re a crowd of sorrows,

who violently sweep your house

empty of it’s furniture,

still, treat each guest honorably.

He may be clearing you out

for some new delight.

The dark thought, the shame, the malice,

meet them at the door laughing,

and invite them in.

Be grateful for whoever comes,

because each has been sent as a guide from beyond.

–Rumi
