“Curiosity will conquer fear even more than bravery will.”
~ James Stephens

It’s a busy day on tap here, as we prepare for Spencer to head off finally on his ski trip vacation tomorrow. I’m placing myself close at hand, to make sure no mishaps occur 😉

So I’m going to keep it short today, as I have not yet finished reading and thinking through Napoleon Hill’s final chapter to Think and Grow Rich.

In order that we put Hill’s philosophy to work, we must prepare our minds to receive it. We must clear the way, by studying, analyzing and understanding three enemies:

Indecision, doubt and fear.

“The 6th sense will never function while these 3 negatives, or any one of them, remain in our mind.”

“Indecision is the seedling of fear. Indecision crystallizes into doubt; The two blend and become fear.”

Truth!!

The “blending process” is slow, which is why these enemies are so dangerous.

So here they are … The 6 most basic fears, in order of their most common appearance:

The fear of poverty.
The fear of criticism.
The fear of ill health.
The fear of loss of love of someone.
The fear of old age.
The fear of death.

In this chapter, Hill provides us with a sobering list of symptoms of each of these fears.

But, he also reassures us that fear is nothing more than a state of mind.

And nature has endowed human beings with absolute control over one thing, and one thing only. And that one thing is thought.

As you go about your day, be honest when you find yourself gripped by fear. Notice when your heart asks you to do one thing, but immediately your mind tells you that you shouldn’t, because of xyz.

This list is easy to remember. Recall the opening quote today: Curiosity will conquer fear even more than bravery will. Be open, try to classify the fear, laugh at yourself. When fear has the spotlight turn onto itself, it can no longer survive.

Fear: False Evidence Appearing Real.

Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it.

Go out, get busy, and have an amazing week !!!
