Good morning friends. During my yoga teacher training, when it came to studying the yamas and niyamas, we were divided up into pairs. And were assigned one of each to research and discuss. This meant I spent time thoroughly contemplating 4 of the ideals with my partner.

It’s a squally Monday here on the north shore of St. Thomas today. No visible sunrise, that’s for sure !! But I was able to sit for 15 minutes or so before a driving rain storm forced me inside.

I decided to continue on with my meditation on Yoga’s “Ten Commandments”. As opposed to the Christian “Thou Shalt Not”, I’ve always appreciated Patanjali’s Yogic framework, which puts things in the positive: “Thou shall strive to” or the Yamas and Niyamas. read more
