“The greatest force is derived from the power of thought. The finer the element, the more powerful it is. The silent power of thought influences people even at a distance, because mind is one as well as many. The universe is a cobweb; Minds are spiders.”
~ Swami Vivekananda

What a rainy morning for those poor souls over there running the Annual 8 Tough Miles Race on St. John. But, the winners won’t let a little rain stop them. They will persevere !!!

As we continue on with the final 3 steps of thinking and growing rich in success, Napoleon Hill focuses on three aspects of the brain …

The first, which we’ve discussed, is the Subconscious. This uncontrollable, but impressionable part of our selves serves as the storehouse of all information and thoughts ever experienced. It is also the gateway to Infinite Intelligence, or the greater storehouse of all thought.

In his subsequent chapter, Hill talks about the brain in general, as both a receiving and broadcast station to thought. The brain has the capacity to tune in, just like a radio.

The editors of T&GR ask a couple of very good questions in relation to this:

When you “send” thoughts, to where do you send them? Why do you “remember”?

When you “receive” thoughts, where do they come from?

You send thoughts to your subconscious forcefully through autosuggestion in order that they may be “recalled”. You then receive thoughts back up through your subconscious through recollection or creative imagination.

Your creative imagination is the “receiving station”. The subconscious mind is then the “sending station”.

We talked yesterday that praying to Infinite Intelligence should not be confused with religious prayer. The Editors write: “Infinite Intelligence is Hill’s term for describing the basic law of physics. Because everything in the universe is either time, space, energy or matter, and matter is just energy in a different form, then everything is actually different parts of the same thing.”

Your subconscious mind (energy) has a common base with every other subconscious mind (energy).

When under strong emotion, your “receiver” becomes especially strong and you can pull thoughts from other brains.

We refer to these interconnected thoughts sometimes as intuition, hunches, deja vu and foreknowledge.

Hill then goes on to discuss groundbreaking research by a Professor Rhine at Duke University on the existence of “Telepathy” and “Clairvoyance”.

While science still can’t explain it, there is undeniable evidence that ESP exists. In all cases, if a person had the faculty to “see” a card face down on a table, this person also had the ability to “read” thoughts residing only in another mind.

As for Napoleon Hill, he shares with us what he believes to be the ideal conditions under which minds can be stimulated so that ESP, or the “sixth sense”, can be made to function in a practical way.

It’s the Roundtable Discussions of a Mastermind Group.

He and two of his closest staff members would sit down at a conference table. They would clearly state a problem submitted by a client. Each would contribute whatever individual thoughts that would arise, each working with his or her own “invisible counselors”. “The strange thing about this method of mind stimulation is that it places each participant in communication with unknown sources of knowledge definitely outside of our own experience.”

“When you tap into the power of your Master Mind group, you will find that the more you work together, the more each member will learn to anticipate the ideas of others and to connect immediately with the enthusiasm and inspiration.”

I spent a whole summer with a friend in junior high testing our ESP. We worked with shapes on paper, and by the end of the summer, I can assure you that the rate of success of “reading” (and “sending”) had improved immensely.

And it spooks me how frequently my meditative thoughts are reverberated by others out on Facebook. I do believe we’ve all tied into a source which guides us to spread love, compassion and understanding. Trust me when I say, these thoughts do just “pop” into my mind. They aren’t logical.

Watch as you talk with close friends and family today. Aren’t there times, when the conversation gets going so fast, that it’s almost like you are sharing in some joint conversation, living outside of yourselves? I think this happens when people start talking over one another … They are just “in it”, minds in communion.

Tomorrow, we’ll visit the final aspect of the intuitive mind, or the “6th Sense”, the apex to the philosophy of success. Only by mastering the first 12 steps may this faculty of mind be assimilated, understood and applied.

Tune in. Connect. It’s a blessing, filled with unimaginable answers …
