Good morning friends! Since I began blogging this year, I’ve changed my method for writing. In the past, I’d write immediately after catching the sunrise.  This lent itself to a certain level of stress, as some days I just didn’t feel like writing.

Now, all I have to do is catch the sunrise.  And even that can hold a challenge, as this morning, I was exhausted from a very challenging villa turnover … That, coupled with the full moon, did not lend itself to a good night’s sleep.

What I’ve been doing this year is to film the sunrise, then post what I wrote from the day before, after re-reading it, and editing as something else strikes me.   So if I don’t feel like reading and writing right away – which hasn’t happened yet – or say I’m rushed to get somewhere in the AM, I can read and writer later on in the day.  This has been working out really well for me.  It takes the pressure off …

I do have today’s post already written, and it’s on Napoleon Hill’s 3rd Principle of Success: Autosuggestion … which he’s discussed before.

The chapter is very short.  And it re-emphasizes the 6 Steps to turning Dreams into Gold.  Hill says this chapter is so important that we re-read it again when we finish the book.

I think I’ll re-read it again today before I share my thoughts. I have something else I wish to share today ….

My New Years guests left my rental villa in quite a state.  It was one of the messiest I’ve had in a long while, and I had not called in any help.  Plus I had Christmas to put away.  The incoming rental was last minute, great for the pocket book, but left us scrambling.  And as of an hour before arrival, the guests still had not paid and were playing games.  To top it off, the last group of guests had also left me with a very dirty oven and a refrigerator of prepared meat products and uncleaned dishes.  I have not handled meat, and the greasy oils, in over 25 years.  And I found it absolutely repulsive.  Sorry meat eaters out there, but have you ever made the connection between that gelatinous animal fat and clogged arteries??

Anyway, I vowed I would never do that again.  This set me truly considering a speech that Steve Jobs made at Stanford.  Napoleon Hill would have LOVED Steve Jobs, and applauded his speech.

Take some time today to listen to it … It just might change your life …

I couldn’t get Steve Job’s speech out of my mind yesterday.  I spent many years not wanting much of what I had.  This is a horrible state of mind.  It does absolutely nothing to progress us forward.  Even in our darkest moments, when we recognize that we are not happy where we are at, we need to be thinking of NEXT.  Not of fixing what is wrong.  We must be inspired, just like Hill is saying.  Finding that burning white-hot desire that will pull us out of our present situation.  Something as bright and clear as this scorching sunrise !!

When I think about yesterday – if it was my last – would I relive it ?? Absolutely not.  Cleaning that villa felt like a complete waste of my time, energy and intellect.  And it’s zapped me of much of my energy for today too.  But I’m not going to be stuck in “I don’t want”.  My mind is already twirling through those ideas that will use one of my greatest assets as a stepping stone to change all of that.
