“A good memory is one that can remember the day’s blessings and forget the day’s troubles.”

It’s a beautiful morning here on St. Thomas today.  I hope you are enjoying a sweet Sunday morning too!

So I’m still feeling a little bit giddy after a successful day of selling on eBay yesterday. Oh, and might I add seeing 11:11 the past two morning 🙂

I spent a good hour yesterday up in my attic, sorting through all kinds of stuff.  Old designer suits I’ll never wear again, holiday decorations, unused art & collectibles …

And then I got to listing this “junk” via the eBay iOS app. Listing via the iPhone just couldn’t be easier !! Especially when your iPhone is paired up with a regular sized bluetooth keyboard. I was able to create a listing in less than 5 minutes !! Create a title, snap a photo with the iPhone (I just lay my “junk” out on a white sheet in the sunlight), enter a few description fields that eBay requires, set a starting bid amount if you aren’t sure how to price your item, eBay calculates USPS shipping. Done!

I’ve had good success with eBay in the past, selling off some of the dregs of my computer shop inventory. But as a warning, somewhere hidden deep down in their rules and regulations, eBay requires that you receive signature confirmation on items over $250. Delivery confirmation isn’t good enough. Don’t you think they’d list that on their shipping label as a reminder to new sellers. Nope. And I got taken by a dishonest buyer. So I stopped selling, because I was pissed.

A good reminder that a better approach would simply have been to learn from my mistake, and press onward.

Now I have even older computer inventory that I need to re-list. That’s the thing with electronics … It’s like produce. It has an expiration date. One of the reasons I got out of that business.  Too much “spoilage” over the years.

Anyone want a pink case for an iPod nano circa 2005?

But honestly, my mind is awhirl with the fact that I can make $50 in 5 minutes. This eBay selling could get addictive !!!

And thank you seas and the divine above for hearing my prayer yesterday:
Breathe Melancholy Out
Breathe Love & Joy (and a little prosperity) In.

May you always have work for your hands to do.
May your pockets hold always a coin or two.
May the sun shine bright on your windowpane.
May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be near.
And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer.

Prayers go up. And blessings come down.

The oldest trees often bear the sweetest fruit.

The Lord helps those who help themselves.

May your day & week ahead be filled with unexpected blessings too. And if I can help you get an account set up for selling your unwanted treasures via eBay, please feel free to give me a ring…
