“May the sun bring you new energy by day, may the moon softly restore you by night, may the rain wash away your worries, may the breeze blow new strength into your being, may you walk gently through the world and know it’s beauty all the days of your life.”
~ Apache Blessing

So today, I bring the sun in it’s full shining glory. Often after the sun reaches the horizon, I begin the following mantra ….

Inhale compassion,
Exhale love.
Inhale love,
Exhale peace.
Inhale peace,
Exhale compassion.
(repeat, repeat, repeat).

Well today, I just asked to breathe in the sun’s energy, and tried to breath out being tired. I’m pooped !! Did not sleep well, and I’m needing some radiant energy, as I have another full day ahead. It’s interesting to note that the sun is nearing it’s maximum solar outflow. Part of a natural eleven year ebb and flow. And when the Sun’s interior reaches a tipping point in its magnetic polarity, it will flip, going to it’s weakest polarity, and start all over again. I can only imagine what kinds of unknown effects this has on all of us as energy beings …

But aside from asking the sun to fill me up, what can I do to help give myself more energy ?? I’m surprised to find that I’ve not shared one of my favorite resources here on my blog. I’ve shared it on my personal facebook, generally during winter, when folks are staving off cold and flu season. From my yoga teacher, who is also a very gifted teacher and therapist of energy medicine, we can easily do a five-minute energy routine designed by Donna Eden. This routine is also amazing when we feel a bit drained in the midst of a long day in front of the computer. This 5-minute exercise always reinvigorates me ….

I’ll also ask my friend, and food energy practitioner, Bridgette Kossor … What is the most energizing breakfast I can make myself ??

According to Yahoo, here’s a few foods they list …

  • Leafy Greens
  • Nuts
  • Whole grain carbs
  • Coffee (didn’t do it’s normal trick today!)
  • Beans
  • Apples & Bananas
  • Pumpkin Seeds
  • Water with lemon (my normal go to)
  • Watermelon & Blueberries
  • Red Peppers for vitamin C
  • Hummus (protein & vitamin C)

So I’m thinking it’ll be a black bean burrito with a healthy dose of spinach and diced red pepper. And maybe I’ll start with my favorite afternoon energizer drink, a blueberry, lemon & ginger fizz!

Humm … Maybe I’ll even be super kind to self, and offer a mid-day nap 😉

How about you? On those days when you feel sluggish, what do you offer yourself to pick up the energy?

Happy Monday, and I hope you enjoy a super-energized week, especially for those who are just getting kids back to school. Remember to take time for yourself too ❤
